Dr. Sean is the Medical Director and co-founder of Fertility Clinic of Cambodia (FCC), which she established in September 2014. She pursued her specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Infertility Management in Paris, France and received special training at Cochin Infertility and ART Center under the direct supervision of Professor Dominique de Ziegler. Dr. Sean also received further training on embryology at NUH Fertility Center in Singapore under the direction of Professor PC Wong.
Since the inception of FCC, Dr. Sean and her team have assisted thousands of couples in conceiving and fulfilling their parenting dreams. Her dedication and expertise have earned her recognition from medical communities, and under her medical direction, FCC has been awarded and recognized at national and international platforms. Dr Sean is a member of European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the leading pioneer in Cambodia’s infertility industry.
How you are motivated to become a fertility doctor?
I observed that there is a lack of infertility treatment options in Cambodia.
This meant that many people in Cambodia struggling with infertility had to travel overseas to receive treatment. This was a major barrier, as it can be expensive, time-consuming, and difficult to navigate the healthcare system in a foreign country. Today, in Cambodia, they have access to this infertility treatment. I am committed to helping my people with access to high-quality infertility treatment options in Cambodia. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to have a beloved family.
What is your proudest achievement so far?
In just two years since we started Sokteang Cabinet in 2012, we grew so fast that we became a clinic in 2014.
It is a wonderful feeling to help many parents fulfill their dreams of having children, especially when they have lost hope after trying unsuccessfully in other places overseas and finally succeeding with us in our kingdom. It is truly amazing.
Besides being the pioneering and leading infertility specialist in Cambodia, we have helped more than 3,000 families, and counting, to achieve their parenting goals. Our success rate are no less than those infertility centers in EU or USA.
