Professor Dominique de Ziegler was born in Nice, France. At the age of thirty, before starting residency and fellowship training at UCLA, Dom took part in 1979 in the opening of the joint mission of ICRC of UNICEF in Cambodia. In these somber times when the country was in rags and tears, Dom spent most of 1979 in Phnom Penh, participating in the early days of the rebuilding effort.
Dom trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob Gyn) and subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He became Diplomate of the American Board in Ob Gyn and REI. Dom was subsequently an Assistant Professor at the University of New Jersey and an Associated Professor in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in Paris.
Professor de Ziegler has authored more than 300 articles indexed in PubMed® and numerous book chapters in the field of reproductive hormones, infertility and assisted reproductive technologies (ART).
After directing Infertility and ART at Geneva Hospital, Dom headed for the past 10 years the division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Université Paris Descartes – Cochin Hospital. There, Dom had the great honor and pleasure of training Dr Sean Sokteang in the art of managing clinical infertility. Since June 2017, Dom has joined the team of Foch Hospital in Paris, as University Consultant and Professor Emeritus.
